I have my dark days as well. On such days, these words comfort me and help me to go on. Keep me in your prayers.

  • For indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease. (Quran, 94:5–6)
  • You may dislike something although it is good for you, or like something although it is bad for you: God knows and you do not. (Quran, 2:216)
  • God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear. (Quran, 2:286)
  • Who would despair of the mercy of their Lord except the misguided? (Quran, 15:56)
  • O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Quran, 39:53)
  • Whether you speak secretly or openly—He surely knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart. (Quran, 67:13)
  • The next life is certainly far better for you than this one. (Quran, 93:4–5)
  • Did He not find you unguided then guided you? (Quran, 93:7)
  • Whoever Allah guided, none can lead astray. (Quran, 39:37)
  • Allah is more merciful towards you than you are towards your child. He is the Most Merciful of the merciful. (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, 377)
  • From the consequences of sins is that they bring about great loneliness in the heart. The sinner finds his soul lonely. He experiences loneliness between him and his Lord and between him and the creation. The more he sins the more lonely he becomes. (Ibn al-Qayyim)
